Tips Images dari Google

Berikut ini adalah beberapa tips langsung dari Program Pengembang Google Tech Lead Maile Ohye. Menurut Maile Ohye ketika memasukkan gambar dalam halaman web anda sebaiknya harus:

Gunakan gambar berukuran besar dengan aspect ratio baik - Jika anda belum mengerti apa yang itu aspect ratio, aspect ratio itu adalah lebar dari suatu gambar dibagi dengan tinggi badan. [...]

  1. Gunakan gambar berukuran besar dengan aspect ratio baik - Jika anda belum mengerti apa yang itu aspect ratio, aspect ratio itu adalah lebar dari suatu gambar dibagi dengan tinggi badan. Aspect ratio gambar sangat penting karena jika anda menggunakan gambar dengan aspect ratio tidak merata Google akan lebih memilih untuk menampilkan “gambar yang lebih baik” sebagai masukkan di web serta news search results. Menggunakan gambar dengan aspect ratio standar akan mempengaruhi tidak hanya ada di Image Search, tetapi juga dalam Google Web.
  2. Gunakan descriptive captions and alt text - Biasanya digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan sebuah gambar atau bisa juga sebagai KEYWORDS di dalam captions and alt text
  3. Menyimpan foto di dekat title/heading - Jika Anda menggunakan beberapa gambar dalam satu halaman terus setiap gambar yang dekat dengan title/heading body juga akan terkait.
  4. Jauhkan gambar inline dan menggunakan non-clickable version.
  5. Gunakan format jpeg - Rupa-rupanya Google lebih suka format jpeg daripada format lain (misalnya PNG, BMP). saya pribadi masih belum mengerti mengapa ?  dikarena mereka (Google) telah secara tegas menyatakan fakta ini maka lebih baik untuk kita taati.
